Although a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Keith Prudhomme was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on February 10, 1955. He was educated in the Calcasieu Parish School System and graduated from LaGrange Senior High School in 1973. Following graduation, Keith attended McNeese State University briefly on a track scholarship.
Keith married his high school sweetheart in 1977 and the couple moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where Keith attended Louisiana State University. Keith graduated with a B.S. from LSU in 1981. Thereafter, Keith attended law school at LSU, where he graduated from the Paul M. Hebert School of Law in 1984. He was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar Association on October 5, 1984.
After admission to the Bar, Keith returned to the Lake Charles area where he has been in private practice with a variety of different firms. He joined Mudd & Bruchhaus, L.L.C. in January of 2009 and the focus of his practice is personal injury litigation, including medical malpractice.
Keith is a member of the local and state Bar Associations, various professional associations and organizations and is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in the State of Louisiana. Keith is married to the former Jan Lungaro, who is an instructor in the Microbiology Department at McNeese State University. The couple have three children, all of whom have followed their father's footsteps at LSU. Jan and Keith are members of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, which serves the students and faculty at McNeese State University.
